  • TAPERING PERSPECTIVES

The Canadian landscape- its allure - is impossible for artists to resist. Right now, somewhere, an artist is painting a section of Canada. I began this exploration by imagining what would happen if I took away one of the four corners of a traditional painting. How would the landscape look and feel if I tapered the perspective? I thought of the vanishing perspective of a highway or a horizon within the deep interior of a forest, which lead a surprising experience for me.
